About Me

I've been an actress for over 30 years on stage, screen and in the studio. As a voiceover I use this wealth of experience when I approach a script, whether it be a sensitive and emotional piece or a dynamic and comedic text. As a chatty Eastender, I can also deliver natural, friendly and conversational dialogue which has proved to be very popular in commercials and corporate work.

My studio is broadcast quality and I've produced many a crisp and clear project from there, be it an audiobook, a corporate explainer, videogame, animation, E Learning project, IVR message or commercial. Fully trained by the incomparable coach and top UK Voiceover Artist Tanya Rich and armed with a lovely shiny One Voice award for Best Female Performance on a demo, I am here at your disposal to turn your ideas and words into something really special.

I can't deny I have a bit of a flair and a passion for character work! Give me a wicked witch, a cranky old lady, a naughty little boy, an evil psychopath, sulky teenager, a comedy fairy or a pretentious "it girl" from Chelsea and I'm as happy as anything! I'm often cast for children’s projects such as audiobooks - 3 books in the Laura McNaughty adventure series, animations, commercials and most recently, a KS1 Bitesize video game for the BBC because they thought my voice was "full of fun" - but thanks to my East London roots, the brassy fishwife in me is never too far away! and I had a ball, f...ing and blinding as an ADR actor in Guy Ritchie's hit film The Gentlemen! Talk about one extreme to the other!

I have had plenty of experience dubbing cartoons for major production companies and playing leading roles in classic cartoons such as The Wonder Pets, Millenium Actress (Anime) and The Untouchables of Elliot Mouse in which I sang the theme tune plus many other songs during the series

My journey has taken me from a West End debut at the age of 14 in Annie, Musical Theatre, Straight plays, Comedy roles, Feature Films (quite cool telling my kids I was a Bond girl in Goldeneye!) TV Sitcoms, Cabaret, Concert tours, Commercials, Dubbing Cartoons (where all this madness began!) Singing in rock bands, touring with the one and only Alvin Stardust, teaching singing, running a theatre school in Essex, leading a choir, doing very posh gigs with my Tony Award winning MD and finally landing right here where I belong, chatting away to myself in my lovely studio at home in Chelmsford!

...ooh! and a special mention to my three amazing grown up children, Lola, Zak and Finlay and my hubby Richard, who have to listen to all sorts of weirdness  day in day out!
